Sinopsis:
Alex Fletcher, un ex cantante pop de los 80 que está en plena decadencia, se limita a actuar en las ferias de pueblo y otros lugares de diversión. Cuando, de repente, la diva Cora Corman lo invita a hacer un dueto en su nuevo disco, Alex, que no ha escrito una canción desde hace muchos años, tiene que crear un "hit" en pocos días. Pero su amiga Sophie Fisher le ayudará a escribir la letra. Al principio, Sophie, que acaba de salir de una mala relación amorosa, no tiene ánimo para colaborar con nadie. Pero, finalmente, tanto ella como Álex se dan cuenta de que deben enfrentarse a sus miedos.

Mi opinión
Como termino viendo este tipo de películas (comedias románticas rosa pálido)? Esta vez, la situación es así: llegada al centro comercial a las 5:10pm y a esa hora están presentado “Letra y Música”, para cualquier otra película la espera sería de mínimo hora y media, decisión: Entremos a verla porque no queremos esperar tanto tiempo. La película es divertida a ratos (por lo menos me reí algunas veces), comienza con un video de un grupo llamado PoP al más puro estilo ochentero y bastante cómico para esta época, y sigue con la historia de Alex Fletcher, el olvidado y ex integrante del grupo PoP. El resto de la película tiene la típica historia romántica y rosa donde el hombre conoce a la mujer; se enamoran; se enojan; se reconcilian; muy predecibles y poco original. Me gusto la forma como se ridiculiza un poco a las estrellas pop actuales que alegan cierta espiritualidad mientras bailan provocativamente y con poca ropa en sus videos y hacen a sus fans gritar de emoción, a lo Britney Spears. Algunos diálogos entre los dos personajes principales son interesantes pero tal vez no lo suficiente como para recomendar la película a alguien. No niego que a alguien muy romántico y a quien no le importen las historias predecibles y sin mucho argumento le pueda gustar, pero yo no me arriesgaría a recomendarla.
